Is this any reason to lose your mind and ignore me?

All I did was relay to what should be a close friend something I was told about the Kinect from an IT. My friend lost his mind and is currently ignoring me. The person who told me the following did not say it was absolute so neither did I. He was doing some computer work on the couch in his family room. No one else was home, TV was off, and it was dead quiet. At certain intervals (I think he said 20 minutes or so) he would hear a faint click. It wasn't his laptop because it never made that sound any other time. He turned it off and looked around to find it was coming from his family's Kinect. His powered OFF Kinect. The clicking resembled that of a digital camera and found it suspicious to be making an odd sound on regular intervals. But again, he was not absolutely sure and doesn't worry about it. That was all I told my friend because I found it interesting to talk about. I don't think the Kinect is shady as I don't have one. Apple was recently busted for privacy invasion through their location services so this story seemed plausible. Also, I don't think this guy would make something up like this when people already lose their minds, kill babies, and burn houses down over the slightest conspiracy theory. And anyone can find out for themselves if they just stick around a Kinect for a bit. So I personally saw no reason for my "friend" to get mad the way he did.
