Is this guy gay/interested in me?

Okay, so last weekend I was at a party and it got to the time of night when everyone has had way too much to drink, and at one point I could've swore I heard a guy I like say I was the "sexiest man alive" during some random drunk conversation about me, I don't think anyone else heard him, but that obviously caught my attention and when I looked at him he was looking back and grinning. I decided that meant it wasn't a drunk hallucination, so for the rest of the night I was on the lookout for more signs, and there were a few more. He laughed and made eye contact with me a lot more than he did with anyone else, when we were sitting beside each other our hands/legs were touching and he didn't move away. So I asked him if he wanted to go outside and have a smoke, as a kind of test and so I could actually have a conversation with him, and he said yes (keep in mind everyone else was smoking inside, so there was no reason to go outside). All positive signs... except right when we get up to leave, one of my friends goes emo drunk and has a mini breakdown, and since I'm the comforting drunk type I stayed with her. By the time I'd gotten her home and came back, the guy was gone, so I couldn't do any more exploring. That was like the second time I've seen him, and the first I've spoken to him, and I have no idea when I'm likely to see him again unless I make some risky moves. Looking for some objective opinions on this, as it's not something I can talk to friends about. Thanks.
